1How to delete your account from the app

1. Open the Ya’Noo app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile or Settings menu.
3. Scroll down to the Security and privacy section, then tap Delete account.
4. Read the warning and confirm by tapping the delete button.
5. Enter the code received by SMS or email to confirm your identity.
6. Tap Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

2What gets deleted

• Your personal information (name, email, phone number, profile photo) is permanently erased.
• All your active sessions are revoked immediately.
• Your push notification tokens are deleted to stop any further sending.
• To preserve accounting integrity, your past orders remain visible to the restaurant, but your name is replaced with “Deleted user”.

3Limited retention after deletion

Some data may be retained in limited form for legal or security reasons:

• Anonymised technical logs: up to 12 months.
• Transaction history (online payments): retained in accordance with the tax requirements of the State of Cameroon.

None of this remaining data can personally identify you after deletion.

4Can I cancel the deletion?

No. Once the confirmation code is entered, the deletion is final. If you want to come back to Ya’Noo later, you will need to create a new account.

5Alternative: temporary deactivation

If you simply want to take a break without erasing everything, send us an email at dev@yanoo.company. We can deactivate your account while keeping your data available for later reactivation.

6Need help?

If you cannot delete your account from the app, for example because you lost your phone or can no longer sign in, send an email to dev@yanoo.company using the email address or mentioning the phone number associated with your account.

We process deletion requests within a maximum of 7 days.
